Job Description

The Customer Data Operations Team supports the rest of the Education Product group at Lightcast in its laser-focused efforts to help institutions provide students with the educational opportunities they need to thrive in a competitive labor market. Our team supports current products by merging customer data with labor market data to produce insights that drive new academic program development, help institutions attract, retain and support students, and track post-graduate outcomes. We also support new products that will continue to drive impact in higher education, for students, and in the labor market at large.
We’re on the hunt for a detail-oriented operations analyst to join our team.As an operations analyst at Lightcast, you will build and maintain the data systems and reports that our product operations teams use to measure their capacity, effectiveness and efficiency. You’ll partner with product managers, solutions specialists and data processing team members to design reporting solutions that help them maintain and improve the quality of their data products to serve customer and learner needs and deliver value for the company. You will use your technical knowledge to help us target our efforts to improve scalability for processing customer input and rapidly delivering to the customer well-tagged data that will accurately support the insights they are looking for. Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist senior manager and team leads in defining and building measures of team capacity, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assist members of the data operations team in defining and building measures of the quality of data produced by the product operations teams for customers
  • Assist members of the product solutions team in defining and building measures of success for customer implementation and ticket processing
  • Build and manage dashboards and other reporting tools to support product and operations management decision making related to the Customer Data Operations Team
  • Coordinate data collection processes that support the reporting tools
  • Identify potential improvement areas in current processes
  • Support the improvement of processes and tools across the group
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, and Linux. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Requires 1-2 years of work experience in system analysis or related area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering related technical field, or equivalent experience.
