The Customer Data Operations Team supports the rest of the Education Product group atLightcast in its laser-focused efforts to help institutions provide students with the educationalopportunities they need to thrive in a competitive labor market. Our team supports currentproducts by merging customer data with labor market data to produce insights that drive newacademic program development, help institutions attract, retain and support students, and trackpost-graduate outcomes. We also support new products that will continue to drive impact inhigher education, for students, and in the labor market at large. We’re on the hunt for adetail-oriented operations analyst to join our team.

Automating the structuring and enriching of data on individuals’ career and educationjourneys Managing that data coming from multiple sources And efficiently delivering it to highly interactive software applications serving variedbuyers and use cases
As an operations analyst at Lightcast, you will operate data production tools, ensure dataquality, and improve system architecture and processes. In this key role for the Alumni DataOperations team, you will partner with product managers, solutions specialists and dataprocessing team members to design and develop data production solutions to maintain andimprove the quality and efficiency of our products. You will use your technical knowledge andexperience to collaborate with other technical teams to improve scalable processing of customerinput and rapid delivery of well-tagged data that will accurately support insights that servecustomer and learner needs and deliver value for the company.Primary Responsibilities
- Run and troubleshoot the tools used for data production
- Coordinate fixes and updates to data tagging and taxonomies
- Conduct data quality control tests and fixes
- Streamline complex input processing
- Create and track metrics to monitor operational and data quality
- Produce data product prototypes
- Test process changes
- Produce custom data pulls
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, and Linux. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with excellent written and verbal skills. Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, Scala / Spark and visual basic (VBA) is a plus, for converting current pipeline into scalable software.
- Requires 3-5 years of work experience in a professional setting. Experience in system analysis or data production is preferred, especially experience working with data covered by FERPA/HIPAA/PCI DSS/GDPR or other privacy standards.
