Inspectorio SIGHT
SIGHT allows retailers, brands, suppliers, factories, and 3rd parties to manage all their quality activities in a single platform, with a strong focus on advanced analytics AI amp; Machine Learning. SIGHT focused at the product level, that is, a t-shirt or jeans. RISE concentrated at the facility level, or the factory/manufacturing facility itself, where that t-shirt and jeans were made.

RISE is a single platform to audit procedures and verification for compliance from the large retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Tesco to the specific factories they are operating with.
What is RISE?
Retailers create customized standards or apply international standards like environmental compliance and social labor law that factories must comply with. The primary purpose of our product is to provide large retailers with a flexible, configurable tool so that they can create their own sets of standards.
The next stage in the RISE evolution focuses on AI amp; Machine Learning for predictive insights and dynamic risk-based interventions.
Job Summary
Inspectorio is open to meet a Senior Database Administrator with excellent analytical and technical skills to join our Infrastructure team, which is responsible for the support of products developed in the company.
The person in the DBA position will help ensure continuity of our production services, as well as actively participate in the development, improvement, and optimization of infrastructure.

What You'll Do
- Database optimization ( Postgre), mostly as a service from Google (but looking towards our own Kubernetes/Virtual Machine installation capabilities)
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaboration with development teams
- Joint participation in projects with the data-team to build a data lake for wide use in building predictive models
- ·Develops database solutions by designing a proposed system, defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications
- Defining and implementing standards and best practices related to system architecture, deployments, security, metrics, and operational tasks
- Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams;
- Keep up to date and evaluate new industry trends
- Maintaining 24/7 uptime in business-critical environments
Must Have
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Expertise in performance tuning databases schemas, indexes, and queries (PostgreSQL)
- Excellent Database Design skills
- Experience with large database migrations with low or no downtime
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a distributed team environment and across multiple time zones
- Flexible approach to work with the ability to proactively take the initiative and work independently with little supervision, and also to be part of a collaborative team where ideas amp; skills are shared
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- Skills with Terraform
- Good level of spoken and written English
