Job Description
Lightcast, the leader in labor market analytics, is seeking a Data Product Manager who will oversee the design and product development of new and existing data products, specifically focused on classifiers and normalizers. The Data Product Manager is the bridge between Business Units (CS, product) and data/engineering helping to drive the product development of innovative data products. The Data Product Manager, Models will help drive the development of data insights through the application of machine learning and data modeling to bring more value to our clients. At Lightcast, we seek to obsess over the customer’s needs in everything we do and this role will practice that in seeking input from customers and prospects at all stages of product design.Job Duties- Manage data products through their lifecycle from conception and development to release.
- Develop product vision and product strategy with key leaders across the organization
- Develop and manage roadmap of features and updates for data products
- Build innovative data pipeline classifiers, normalizers and machine learning tools for job posting and user profile datasets
- Gather and document requirements for data products
- Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders including Sales, CS and Product, and engineering to create data products that align with client needs and business objectives
- Working with product team and data engineers to make decisions based on client needs and use cases, while representing the Voice of the Customer
- Apply data science techniques, data engineering processes, and market experimentation tests to deliver customized product experiences
Experience Education- 3-7 years of experience
- A solid understanding of data modeling, data infrastructure, and data science techniques, tools, and processes
- You have experience managing the maturation of platforms that support machine learning at scale.
- A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Computer Science or Data Science) is strongly preferred.
- An understanding of Agile methodology and experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, and other data tools is highly valuable but not required.
- Experience with labor market data, job postings data, or user profiles desired but not required
- Experience with clients in Higher Education, Talent/HR-Analytics, or Workforce Development desired but not required
