Lead Game Software Engineer

• Grow a team of game programmers to create immersive and compelling gameplay experiences.
• Assign technical tasks to team members, conduct code reviews.
• Work with existing code base to develop and enhance gameplay (player and world interaction, AI strategies and rules, etc.).
• Develop well designed software within project schedule and standards.
• Document code features.
• Debug and optimize code to hit performance targets.
• Continue to enhance programming and communications skills and spread knowledge.
• Communicate with QA.
• Provide/accept guidance and assistance when required.
• Participates in hiring.

Requirements

• Excellent C++ skills (5+ years of professional C++ experience)
• Experienced in mentoring and managing small teams
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Expertise at least in two distinct game-related topics (UI, animation/movement, AI, etc.)
• Good communication skills and spoken English. Fluent is a strong plus
• Team lead experience in commercial software development is a strong plus
• Strong leadership skills will be a plus
