ABOUT THE ROLEWe’re looking for Backend Engineers to be stationed in Russia, main office location is Moscow but you can also work remotely from anywhere in Russia. We’ve hired some of the most talented engineers and designers that the world of tech has to offer, and we are keen to showcase their talent to the world - and that’s where you come in.
As a Principal engineer at Revolut you will have impact in many different areas such as making sure our systems are as reliable as possible, mentoring and coaching engineers and taking ownership of how our engineering function is impacting business metrics. You will be a hands-on contributor on a code level across multiple projects while driving the engineering direction with a focus on best practices and simplistic architectural design.

WHAT YOU’LL NEEDMust Haves:•Hands-on experience with JVM languages (Java).•Expert software architecture / System design knowledge.•Experience working with multiple teams concurrently.•Big picture thinking, correctly diagnosing problems and providing solutions.•Experience mentoring engineers.•Good understanding of relational databases.•Strong understanding of event driven architecture, DDD and CQRS.•Experience designing consistent and highly available systems.•Experience building mission critical systems.•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer science or a related field. (Mathematics, Physics, etc)
