Purpose and Responsibilities of the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for managing the CIS finance function end-to-end, while continuing to improve existing business processes to with the focus to support the growth of the business in the region.
Specific responsibilities include:

Accounting and Reporting:
Manage integrity of the general ledger, including preparation of monthly reconciliation between local statutory and management (NetSuite) accounts.
Extensive knowledge of Russian accounting standards and IFRS conversion, including accounting consolidation.
Preparation of local statutory accounting reporting.
Assistance as required with the preparation and analysis of management reporting documents, such as monthly management reports and other Director/leadership reporting packs, budgets and forecasts.
Liaising with external accountants and auditors as appropriate for the completion of annual financial statements, audits and income and other tax returns.
Ad hoc analysis as required by management.
Tax:
Preparation of tax returns
Experience in Russian and international tax treatment
Preparation of tax effect accounting and periodic tax reporting reconciliation
Liaising with tax advisor on corporate tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing matters
Liaising with tax authorities regarding tax matters and cross border transactions.
Accounts Receivable:
Work closely with the Global Senior Revenue Manager to support timely processing of revenue, expense invoices and accruals. As well as related management reporting to Directors and head office.
Management of the timely collection of outstanding invoices and assist with credit risk management.
Payroll:
Accurate, timely calculation and payment of the employee payroll, including on-boarding new staff, managing annual leave and timesheets submissions. Work closely with the head office and external payroll provider as agreed.
Liaising with the head office internal Tax team to resolve cross-border taxation issues as required.
Work with the Group Payroll manager and external providers to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations regarding payroll withholding and reporting, including retirement plans, payroll taxes and workers compensation.
Accounts Payable:
Processing employee expense claim submissions, ensuring accurate and complete data with appropriate supporting documentation, approvals and timely reimbursement.
Processing and payment of supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals, management of supplier relationships and reconciliation of accounts as necessary.
Ad hoc projects, including assessing feasibility and practically of corporate credit card facility.
Treasury:
Perform agreed treasury and cash flow activities and reporting, work closely with the head office as necessary to ensure sufficient working capital is available to support operations.
Other:
Work with the Group Legal team, including external providers to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations regarding CIS regional activities.
Meeting internal PiP policy, head office obligations and external compliance obligations, including tax compliance.
Working closely with the CIS Directors, head office, and other stakeholders to provide decision support and manage the commercial aspects of the business including and especially compliance, risk management and revenue.

Key Competencies Required for the Role

Essential Competencies:
Chartered or Certified Public Accountant (CA/CPA) qualified or similar
Big 4 (Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC) trained or similar
7+ years’ experience in professional services industry
Experience as Chief or Deputy Chief Accountant
Ability to operate autonomously in an international business structure
Improvement focused with experience in establishing and implementing business processes
Focus on structured approach to implementing strong financial disciplines and hygiene
Demonstrated ability to manage finance functions
Strong leade
