Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain blockchain-based systems for in-game assets, on-chain item provenance, and cross-service interactions.
- Build secure smart contracts, perform code reviews, and lead audits with external security partners.
- Integrate blockchain components with game backends, wallets, and off-chain indexing services; define APIs and data models.
- Optimize performance and cost for on-chain and off-chain operations, including batching, caching, and layer-2 patterns.
- Establish CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and incident response for blockchain services in production.
- Mentor engineers on web3 best practices and support security remediation processes.
What we’re looking for
Must-have
Preferred
- Smart contract development in Solidity, Vyper, or equivalent; deployment to public or private EVM-compatible chains.
- Backend engineering with Node.js, Go, Rust, or Python for service integration and indexing.
- Understanding of blockchain primitives, consensus, gas optimization, layer-2 solutions, and token standards (ERC-20/721/1155).
- Experience with wallets, signing flows, key management, and secure key storage patterns.
- Familiarity with on-chain/off-chain bridging, oracles, and event indexing (TheGraph, subgraphs, custom indexers).
- Experience with testing frameworks, formal verification tools, and security audit remediation.
- CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and observability (Prometheus/Grafana, log aggregation).
- 5+ years software engineering experience with at least 2+ years focused on blockchain/smart contract development.
Preferred
- Relevant certifications or demonstrated open-source contributions.
