Duties: Responsible for building, translating, maintaining, and overseeing quality assurance for all linguistic data andtaxonomies for the company. Responsible for data products through their lifecycle from conception and development to release. Collaborate and coordinate with other data product employees and engineering team leads to create data products with people in mind. Work with engineering teams to design and implement effective machine learning models for linguistic needs. Research, collect, and maintain international government labor market data. Work on new initiatives for new data development needs globally and provide support for sales and customer service to address analytical linguistics-specific questions. Coordinate vendor and employee relations to develop best in class data products.
Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Data Science, Linguistics, Language Arts or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience as a Linguistic Data Analyst or related occupation.
This position requires 1 year of experience with: SQL including aggregation functions, table joins, insertions, and deletions; designing, building and maintaining relational databases using database management tools including SQL Workbench; using Excel for data cleaning, visualization, and analysis including using advanced functions (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, filtering, and conditional formatting); testing and analyzing international machine learning models; working with international and US taxonomy metadata; taxonomy metadata across global labor markets; standard labor market taxonomies and classifications including ISCO, NUTS, and NACE; using scripting tools such as PHP or Python to run data analysis scripts via the command line; cross-functional communication across engineering, product, and customer teams; translating business requirements into engineering specifications for engineering teams; handling competing priorities across diverse product teams; and planning project work to align with company goals and timelines
This position requires any amount of experience with: project management tools including Jira and Miro; and tools includingElasticSearch, Kibana, and AWS Athena to query big data warehouses.
